The VINCI Group ranked 5th in a report prepared by the consulting company Deloitte. This list is an annual analysis of achievements of the world's most profitable construction companies. Sales revenues in 2017 are taken into account.
In the ranking, the first four places were taken by Chinese corporations. We also find French, British, Swedish, Austrian and Dutch companies in it.
Warbud has won a contract for the construction of two buildings for the Institute of Psychology and the Faculty of Political Science of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University at ul. Głęboka in Lublin.
The contract was signed on 12 December 2018: His Magnificence Rector of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University prof. Stanisław Michałowski and on the part of Warbud by Mr Piotr Ordon - Director of Region East.
On November 27, 2018 at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, there was a gala in which Halina Krahelska Chief Labour Inspector awards were given to winners with the participation of the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy Elżbieta Rafalska. This distinction is awarded for special achievements in the field of labour protection and health protection in the work environment.
On October 26, 2018, the Monopol Hotel in Katowice was the venue for the 5th European Forum for Quality and Innovation 2018. The intention of the organizers is to enable its participants to exchange ideas and opinions, learn about the latest trends and solutions that facilitate their everyday business operations in Poland and other European countries in various areas, among others in relation to management standards, certification, financing of innovative projects, applicable regulations as well as postulated regulatory changes that are conducive to the development, growth, competitiveness and efficiency of enterprises.
Warbud will build the Topiel No. 18 project for Marvipol Development. The contract was signed on October 15, 2018 by Wojciech Gerber - Member of Warbud’s Management Board and Daniel Okoński - Proxy. On behalf of the Investor the document was signed by Mariusz Poławski, Vice President of Marvipol Development Management Board and Robert Pydzik, President of the Management Board. The contract covers the construction of a multi-family residential building with an underground garage and the associated technical infrastructure in the area of Topiel and Leszczyńska streets. We have 17.5 months to complete the contract from the date its conclusion. The building design and detailed design were developed by WWAA design office.
Awards of the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk for the best Gdańsk architectural project were handed in on October 16, 2018 at a gala at the headquarters of the Association of Polish Architects SARP in Gdańsk. The title of best architectural project in Gdańsk was awarded to all the participants of the investment process: the investor, designer and contractor of the Museum of the Second World War - the Warbud-Hochtief consortium. The award was collected by Mr Karol Puszerkiewicz - Contract Director responsible for the project.
Warbud will build and equip Greater Poland Children's Health Centre in Poznań First patients will be admitted to the new hospital in 2021. It will be one of the largest paediatric hospitals in Poland.
The contract concluded on October 17, 2018, was signed by Mr Marek Woźniak, Marshal of the Wielkopolska Region, Mrs Izabela Grzybowska, President of the company Szpitale Wielkopolski, and on behalf of Warbud by Mr Jerzy Werle, Chairman of the Management Board and Mr Wojciech Gerber, Board Member.
On October 15, 2018 in Jachranka near Warsaw, an awards gala was held in the 10th edition of the Public Tender Crystals 2018 competition. The jury appreciated Warbud for the comprehensive process of designing, building, financing and maintaining the new seat of the District Court in the public-private partnership formula. The award was collected on behalf of Warbud by Mr Pawel Żółtak, Contract Director at DBS.

Warbud has signed a contract with Chopin Airport Development for the construction of a Moxy brand hotel being part of the Marriott International chain. The contract was signed on July 6, 2018. On July 26th cornerstone was officially placed for the building - a capsule with a ground-breaking plaque and souvenirs for posterity, which officially began the construction of a new building. The ceremony was attended by among others airport authorities and city representatives. Warbud was represented by Jerzy Werle, President of the Management Board.
