Warbud continues construction work at Stefan Żeromski Hospital in Krakow

Warbud has won a contract for the expansion of pavilion F1 and execution of landscaping works at S. Żeromski Specialist Hospital in Krakow. On December 20, 2019, the contract agreement was signed on the part of our company  by Mr. Damian Kamiński, Deputy Director of Region South and on the part of the Employer: by Mr. Jerzy Friediger, MD, Hospital Director and Mr. Jaromir Grącki, Chief Accountant.

The scope of Warbud’s work covers the development of a construction design, obtaining a building permit and execution of building works.

Building F1 houses the Department of Neurology and the Second Department of Internal Medicine. In the added part of the building, whose architecture will refer to the existing historic part of the hospital, the following rooms will be located: intensive neurological care, rehabilitation and exercise rooms as well as staff rooms with changing rooms. The attic is intended to house ventilation systems for the entire expanded and rebuilt part.

Scheduled contract duration: December 2019 – July 2021

It is worth adding that in mid-December 2019 Warbud commissioned renovated rooms of the following departments: infectious diseases and paediatrics, observational and infectious diseases unit for adults and dermatology department. The pavilion has undergone a thorough renovation, it has been insulated and all rooms have been adapted to applicable sanitary and fire safety standards. The work involved the replacement of building systems and patients were provided with comfortable rooms for several people with bathrooms and new furniture.

After refurbishment, 20 rooms were provided in the infectious diseases and paediatrics department, including six sub-pressure rooms in which the most seriously ill children will be hospitalized. In the infectious diseases department 21 places were prepared, in dermatology department - for 24 adult patients and six children.
