On 29 April 2015 Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz took part in the ceremony of laying the cornerstone for the New Seat of University Hospital (NSSU) in Cracow-Prokocim. 'When the construction work is finished, the new hospital will provide professional medical care at the highest level,' said Ms. Kopacz. 'It is very important that this will be not only a place for treating patients, but also for educating future doctors,' she added.

Mr. Jerzy Werle, Warbud's Deputy Chairman, referred in his speech to the company's name and motto 'it is good to build' and stated that this is especially important in the case of the hospital in Prokocim.

The Employer was represented in the ceremony by the Chancellor of Jagiellonian University, prof. Wojciech Nowak and Vice-Chancellor for the Medical Centre, prof. Piotr Laidler who, together with the Voivode of the Lesser Poland region Mr. Jerzy Miller, Marshal of the Region Mr. Marek Sowa and Mayor of Cracow prof. The project was blessed by Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz, the Metropolitan of Cracow. Our firm was represented by Mr. Jerzy Werle, Vice Chairman, Mr. Wojciech Gerber, Board Member, Mr. Lech Wąsowski - Director of the Medical Construction Division, Mr. Damian Kamiński, Deputy Director, Mr. Tomasz Blecharski, Contract Manager and others.
The last part of the ceremony was a press conference in which Warbud was represented by Mr. Lech Wąsowski. 'It is definitely the largest development project in the field of public health in Poland,' he said. 'It is a real challenge for Warbud given the scale and complexity of the project in terms of technical, technological and equipment solutions. We believe that we will finish it successfully and on time as we have extensive experience gained during the construction of a similar facility for Warsaw Medical University, for which we are now obtaining an occupancy permit.'

The New Seat of University Hospital in Cracow-Prokocim is being built at the crossing of Kostaneckiego and Jakubowskiego streets on a 15-hectare plot. After the completion of the project in 2019 the building will contain 925 hospital beds, 24 operating rooms, 31 clinical units, 28 outpatient clinics and educational facilities with a lecture hall with 250 seats. The new hospital will consist of 10 segments. The relocation of the University Hospital to Prokocim will allow to create in that area a modern academic campus of Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum. In the hospital area there is at present an operating complex of Student Dormitories (now under renovation), a University Children's Hospital which has been modernized for a longer time now, UJ CM Pharmaceutical Faculty and the ultramodern Inter-Faculty Medical Simulation Centre (Innovative Medicine Teaching Centre).
