First Polish governmental PPP project to be implemented by Warbud Infrastruktura

On 5 March 2015 an contract was signed for the construction of the seat of the District Court in the town of Nowy Sącz situated in Grunwaldzka street. The project will be executed in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) formula. This is the first project of that type implemented by our firm.

The contract was concluded between the company Warbud Infrastruktura, a private partner and the Regional Court in Nowy Sącz - a Public State Treasury entity. Warbud was represented by Mr. Mirosław Józefczuk, Board Member and Mr. Przemysław Szulfer - Deputy Finance and Administration Director. The contract signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development.

This is the first project in Poland implemented in the PPP formula in which a State Treasury unit is acting as a Public Partner.

The objective of the project is to build and maintain in the period of 20 years a modern seat of the District Court in Nowy Sącz. The work on the project will cover designing and construction of a court building with floorage of approx. 5 500 m2 with an underground car park, complete technical infrastructure and landscaping works with the net area of approx. 8 200 m2 as well as supplying equipment for the building.

'The project in Nowy Sącz is a milestone for Polish PPP projects. [...] We believe that our cooperation with the Regional Court in Nowy Sącz will be a model for other projects of that type,' said Mr Mirosław Józefczuk, Warbud's Board Member.

The net value of the contract amounts to PLN 100 million. Work on architectural conception will start within days. The completion of the construction project is scheduled for December 2017 and the District Court will move in to the new premises in the first quarter of 2018.
