Another Warbud’s project awarded in Build Safely competition

The safest construction site in the Lubelskie Voivodeship was the site of the Institute of Psychology and the Faculty of Political Science of UMCS University at Głęboka Street in Lublin. The project has been implemented since December 2018 by the team of Region East. This is our third construction site receiving an award this year for high OHS standards and attitudes regarding labour protection on the construction site.

On November 22, 2019, a gala was organised in the Column Hall of the Lublin Voivodship Office closing the preventive and promotional activity of the District Labour Inspectorate in Lublin. Our firm was represented by Mr. Jacek Kwaśny - director of contracts and Mr. Marek Braszko – site manager.

The aim of the competition is to promote safe and hygienic working conditions on construction sites, including the promotion of construction works contractors who provide safe workplaces in the process of construction and contribute to an overall increase in the level of work safety in construction.

The jury selects the winners by assessing among others the occupational risk and informing employees about the risk, the compliance with relevant health and safety rules, assessment of the accident rate (serious, collective or fatal accidents eliminates a company from the competition) or organization of the construction site.

‘I am glad that the effort put into safety on our construction site has been noticed and appreciated by the National Labour Inspectorate,’ said Jacek Kwaśny from Warbud. ‘We have completed the core and shell of the building and we still have a lot of finishing works whose safe execution also requires a lot of attention on our side.  I would like to congratulate and thank the entire team for their contribution to safe work. I also thank those who support this project in our head office. Your advice helps us to raise the safety standards on the construction sites to an even higher level. This award is not only a result of our hard work but also an incentive for even more activity in the field of health and safety.’
