WARBUD SA was a partner of the 18th PKO Poznań Half Marathon. Six of our runners stood at the start of this unique race. They work every day on hospital construction sites in Poznań. On April 19, 2026 they gave their all. The half marathon was a success! Both in terms of weather conditions and participants’ strength. Our runners faced a distance of 21,097 km, leading through the streets of Poznań. There were thousands of participants (it has been a record year – 13,500 runners took part!), countless fans, a fantastic atmosphere, and meticulous organization. It was a celebration not only for the city's residents and the athletes themselves, but also for the volunteers. How did it go? We asked Weronika Kubiak, who during the week is responsible for occupational safety on our construction sites in Poznań, for her opinion: ‘The PKO Poznań Half Marathon is my debut, and it’s been a success!’ she says with a smile. ‘My opinion is so positive. The route was excellent, the run through the stadium was an incredible moment that made a huge impression on me. I was carried by the atmosphere and the support of the fans, I reached the finish line happy and with great satisfaction.’
And what were her colleagues' opinions? Przemysław Poświatowski, site manager of the modernized Greater Poland Center of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery centre, reports for us: ‘A very cool run! This was my first time running the Poznań Half Marathon, and certainly not my last. It was organised great and professionally, quite crowded - almost 14,000-14,500 people. My running group was especially crowded, but that meant there were people to chase. Up to 17 km I ran according to the plan, but before entering the stadium my right knee started to hurt a bit and I had to change my tactics for the finish. Running through the stadium was a blast! I spared my knee, but I recorded a commemorative video, so it's a great souvenir. On the final stretch, about 1.5 km before the finish line, I met my brother-in-law and his family - they gave me the power to finish the race and push a little more. Ultimately, I finished the race within the time I had planned before the start. I hope next year I will run even faster!’
