    On Tuesday October 24, 2017 in Multikino Złote Tarasy in Warsaw educational workshops for young engineers were organised for the second time by the "Builder" monthly and its Strategic Partners. Warbud was one of them. Young Civil Engineer's Day is part of the program "Builder for the Future" aimed at supporting professional development of students of architecture and civil engineering faculties as well as architects and engineers of various disciplines younger than 34 years of age.

    Warbud employees received medals of Mayor of Gdansk for their professional achievements connected with construction of the Museum of the Second World War. Medals were given during the Construction Workers Day gala which took place on September 29, 2017 in Baltic Philharmonic Hall in Gdansk. The Construction Workers' Day was traditionally a good opportunity to award representatives of our community who have made their lasting contribution to the development of the trade in the Pomerania region.

    On September 21, 2017 at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw there was a ceremonial gala celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Polish Union of Construction Industry Employers during which Mr Mundek Bakierski from Warbud SA received a badge of Merits in the Construction Industry. The medal was awarded by decision of the Minister of Infrastructure and Construction in recognition of his achievements and merits in the field of architecture and construction.

    On Saturday, September 9, 2017, Warbud's rowing team won silver medal in the charity Dragon Boat Races organised on the Motława River in Gdansk. Even that they are not professional sportsmen, they covered the 200 m distance in only 55.02 seconds. The members of the 16-people team were Iwona Jabrocka-Talaśka, Przemysław Preiss, Agnieszka Sawicka-Kowlaska, Agnieszka Hefczyc, Wojciech Andrzejuk, Tomasz Wysocki, Andrzej Maczuga, Piotr Wdowiński, Konrad Parchem, Marcin Mozdzież, Aleksander Korzeb, Kamila Wójcik, Marcin Zapert, Sebastian Talaśka, Emil Hefczyc, Krzysztof Zaręba and Irina Lagonda. They left behind 6 other teams.

    Warbud SA has signed a construction contract for buildings Nos. 1 and 2 for Military Unit No. 5949 including utility connections and landscaping works under task orders 51407 and 51408 in the area of Military Complex No. 8602 in Legionowo. On Warbud's part the contract was signed on 11 September 2017 by Mr Jerzy Werle, Chairman and Mr Grzegorz Chudzik, Board Member. The Client is 12th Local Airbase Unit with its seat in Warsaw. The project will be completed in 2019.

    The VINCI Group has been organising the VINCI Innovation competition once in every two years since 2001. The purpose of the competition is to find and award innovative solutions which are helpful and supportive in daily work on constructions sites and offices. The competition promotes solutions which protect the environment, make work easier, shorten construction time or bring savings.

    In this year in Region Europe the winning project was proposed by Warbud under the name "Reduction of the earth pressure on the retaining wall by blocks of EPS" in the category Equipment and Tools.

    University Dentistry Centre of the Medical University of Warsaw is scheduled to open in 2019. The construction of the facility is definitely the biggest development project in that branch of medicine in many years. On September 6, 2017 Mr Jerzy Werle, Warbud's Chairman and Mr Wojciech Gerber, Board Member, signed a construction contract for the University Dentistry centre to be built at  Żwirki i Wigury St. The Client was represented by University Rector - Professor Mirosław Wielgoś, MD, PhD.

    On August 2 Warbud signed a contract for expansion and addition of floors to the existing "Diament Plaza" hotel in Katowice. The Client is the company Diament Investment sp. z o.o. sp. k. and the design was developed by Konior Studio.

    The company SPEKTRUM REAL Sp. z o.o. owned by Karimpol Polska - has signed a contract with Warbud SA for the construction of Skyliner office tower at Daszyńskiego Roundabout in Warsaw. The construction work will start on September 1 and will continue until mid-2020. Skyliner building will reach the height of 195 metres and will be ranked as one of the tallest buildings in Poland's capital. It will offer nearly 44 000 sq m  of office space for rent.

    On July 20, 2017, Warbud SA signed a contract with hotel operator Orbis SA for the construction of a three-star IBIS Styles hotel at 1  Zagórna St. in Warsaw. Warbud, acting as a General Contractor for the project, will be responsible for the construction of the hotel, execution of landscaping works including construction of utility networks and designing sanitary, electrical and low-current systems.
