Warbud will expand the glass plant in Ujazd

Warbud has won a contract to expand a production plant for the company Euroglas Polska Sp. z o.o. to house a new production line with associated facilities. The Investor is Euroglas Polska Sp. z o.o. - a glass manufacturer utilising state-of-the-art technologies to produce float glass and coated glass. The company is part of the Swiss group Glas Trösch and is one of the world's industry leaders.

The subject matter of the contract is the expansion of the existing glass production plant in Ujazd in Łódź region. A new production line will be built independent of the existing line. Warbud will build technological and warehousing facilities. The new part will house the furnace building, tin bath, glass annealing and cutting facility as well as an assembly building and associated structures.

The underground parts of the building will be made as monolithic reinforced concrete structures.  Some of them will be built on DSM columns. The superstructure parts of the buildings will be assembled from precast elements and partially steelwork. The scope of the contract also covers the installation of sanitary, electrical and external networks and execution of landscaping works. The design was developed by Biuro Projektów Budownictwa Sp. z o.o. from Kielce. Production in the new part of the plant will start in winter 2018/2019.
