Warbud will expand a hospital in Poznan

On November 16, 2016, Mr Lech Wąsowski, director of Warbud's Medical Construction Division signed a contract for the expansion of Prof. Ludwik Bierkowski Independent Health Care Centre of the Ministry of Interior in Poznań.

Warbud will build a new, three-storey high wing of the hospital. The ground floor will house a Day-Care Psychiatry Unit, catering, gardening and linen divisions as well as technical rooms. The first floor will contain a central sterilisation facility, mental health clinic, IT division and technical rooms.

An operating theatre with three rooms will occupy the second floor. Such a location plays a strategic role for the hospital. Warbud will build an external lift shaft which will allow to connect the new part of the building with the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit which is situated on the second floor of the existing building. Construction of an external lift shaft will significantly improve circulation among all the hospital units. Under the contract Warbud will also build a fire road with a circulation yard for rescue teams.
