Warbud will build two structures for Mercedes-Benz engine factory in Jawor

Warbud has obtained a contract for turnkey construction of a power building and a waste management center at the Mercedes-Benz engine plant in Jawor. Warbud will carry out this task in a consortium with Electra M & E Polska Sp. z o. o. The investor is the company Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland Sp. z o.o.

Warbud will perform the following works:
Execution of construction works including among others earthworks, construction of the building, façade, roof, floors, internal walls with their finishing, ceilings of internal rooms and the following installations located in:

  • waste management centre: water and sewerage system and high voltage electric installation
  • energy centre: water and sewage, heating, compressed air, gas extinguishing and high voltage electrical installations for the entire development project.

Contract duration: February - December 2018
The Mercedes engine plant in Jawor is a production plant for four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. The newly-built hall will be fitted with the most modern machining and assembly lines operating in the AGIPRO system. There will also be test benches for cold and hot testing of engines, logistic surfaces for packaging parts baskets and a module for shipping finished products. The building will also include space for pre-assembly of components. Total processing capacity - 500 000 engines per year. The plant will be neutral in terms of CO2 emissions.
