Warbud will build Moxy hotel at Poznań-Ławica International Airport

Warbud has signed a contract with Chopin Airport Development for the construction of a Moxy brand hotel being part of the Marriott International chain. The contract was signed on July 6, 2018. On July 26thcornerstone was officially placed for the building - a capsule with a ground-breaking plaque and souvenirs for posterity, which officially began the construction of a new building. The ceremony was attended by among others airport authorities and city representatives. Warbud was represented by Jerzy Werle, President of the Management Board.

'We are glad that the investor, Chopin Airport Development, trusted Warbud's knowledge and extensive and entrusted our firm with the construction of the Moxy hotel. We will make every effort to ensure that the implementation proceeds in accordance with best building practices and the care for the safety of people working on the construction site,' said Jerzy Werle, Warbud's President and Director General.

The facility with an area of ​​5.3 thousand square meters will be located in the immediate vicinity of Poznań-Ławica Airport, between the terminal and Bukowska Street. 120 rooms will be available to guests as well as catering and fitness club facilities. On the north side of the building there will be the main entrance, a driveway and parking spaces for disabled persons and a taxi rank. In front of the main entrance there will be a yard with an interestingly arranged paving brick, benches and plants in pots. There will also be spaces for bicycles in the area.

Good quality at a good price. The Moxy brand is Marriott's answer to the needs of the so-called Generation Y. The hotel has an  extremely fast Wi-Fi network , a 24/7 bar, board games, energetic music and large TV screens in the rooms - adapted to online content and games.

'The first Moxy hotel will be launched soon - at the end of the holidays at the airport in Katowice Pyrzowice,' said Gheorghe Marian Cristescu, President of the Management Board of Chopin Airport Development. 'As for the start of construction work at the Poznań-Ławica Airport, we have decided to launch the Moxy brand in this location as we believe that it suits Poznan which is a city of innovation open to young people. We could not think of a better location - near the airport and at the same time near the business, commercial and tourist facilities.'

The facility was designed by the Warsaw design studio Emkaa Architekci. The project supervisor is Polski Holding Nieruchomości.
