Warbud will build an Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Facility in Jesionka near Rzeszów

Last week Warbud signed a contract with Eme Aero Sp. z o. o. for the construction of one of the largest and most modern plants for servicing, repair and inspections of aircraft engines - EME Aero.

EME Aero is a joint venture of two German companies: Lufthansa Technik AG and MTU Aero Engines AG. The facility will be built in the so-called 'Aviation Valley', located at about 1 km from the Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport.

Scope of work:

  • development of workshop documentation,
  • construction and architectural works,
  • field installations and external networks,
  • supply and assembly of overhead cranes,
  • external, road and landscaping works,
  • preparation of as-built documentation in the form of hard copies and BIM files.

Plot area: 16 hectares

Total area: 40 000 m2
Cubic volume: 476 000 m3
Scheduled contract duration: July 2018 - August 2019

The facility will provide MRO services (maintenance, inspection and repair of geared turbofan engines). Its annual performance will amount to over 400 engine services for PW1000G series engines installed in Airbus A320neo aircraft and other passenger planes. Ultimately the establishment will employ 800 people.
