Warbud takes part in Young Civil Engineer's Day

On Tuesday October 24, 2017 in Multikino Złote Tarasy in Warsaw educational workshops for young engineers were organised for the second time by the "Builder" monthly and its Strategic Partners. Warbud was one of them.

Young Civil Engineer's Day is part of the program "Builder for the Future" aimed at supporting professional development of students of architecture and civil engineering faculties as well as architects and engineers of various disciplines younger than 34 years of age.

An important objective of the program is to make it easier for young engineers to get to know the construction sectors and companies and therefore the requirements of the market and future employers. Workshop participants may contact market leaders and have access to state-of-the-art technologies and best professional practices. Thanks to the program young engineers may acquire knowledge from the best source as the organisers of the workshops invited outstanding Polish architects, engineers and scientists.

The "Builder for the Future" event is made of two professional programs: Builder for the Young Engineers and Builder for the Young Architects which take into account the specific features and needs of those two professional groups. More than 240 civil engineering and related disciplines students as well as already working engineers took part in the October workshops.

The programme of the Young Civil Engineer's Day included among others:

"BIM Academy" is a workshop in modelling a reinforced concrete structure of a multi-storey car park with the use of Autodesk Revit software, generating reinforcement in the supporting elements making up the structure and in designing cycle and pedestrian bridges;

"Profession: Engineer" - a debate of representative of the construction industry, Strategic Partners of the program Builder for the Young Engineers - one of its participants was our employee Mr Andrzej Tyszka - Manager of Warbud's Internal Technical Inspection Department. He talked about among others site safety, the price criterion in tenders and issues connected with personnel management.

In addition to that in the Career Zone the participants had a chance to talk to representatives of HR departments of partner companies and find out about trainings, internships and current job offers as well as take part in job interviews.
