In the last weekend of Noveber Warbud's Chairman Mr Jerzy Werle took part in the conference "Socially responsible business in the irresponsible world - social responsibility of a construction company". The guiding idea of the meeting was to emphasize the social impact of the activities of construction companies and to voluntarily implement social and environmental aspects and relations with stakeholders in corporate governance strategies. The conference also covered designing based on BIM and areas connected with innovativeness and competitiveness.

The symposium was organized by the Polish Association of Building Managers and the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Warsaw University of Technology in the framework of the cycle "Managerial Education of Construction Professionals" and was attended by representatives of over 30 construction companies including Warbud, Unibep, Erbud, Peri, Porr, Strabag, design offices and law firms.

The conference was inaugurated by an exceptionally interesting lecture of prof. Bolesław Rok from Leon Koźmiński Academy. There were also very interesting presentation of construction professionals. Ms Wioletta Fabrycka M.Sc. from the company RDbud described socially responsible strategies of sustainable growth constituting a long-term investment guaranteeing company growth. Mr Jerzy Werle, Warbud's Chairman, presented to the audience responsible business standards on the basis of his company Warbud S.A. Warbud's Chairman concentrated on the health and safety culture implemented within the company, also in the context of the Agreement on Construction Safety, issues connected with business ethics as well as practical aspects of environmental protection, Private Finance Initiatives and charities implemented via Warbud's Foundation Warto Pomagać.

The two-day conference was ended with a discussion panel with managers of the largest construction companies, academics and lawyers.
