Building Education Programme

The aim of the Building Education Programme entitled "Our Student, Our Employee, Warbud SA”, is the cooperation with chosen vocational schools which are able, with the use of their established and reliable resources, to prepare their students to start work on our sites.

Within the framework of the project we provide schools with a support package. The company offers scholarships to students. The amount of financial support depends on their school results and attendance to lessons and training activities. The company also finances the purchase of school and professional equipment as well as trainings for vocational teachers and French language courses. After finishing their education the graduates will be trained on Warbud sites, the chosen persons on VINCI sites in France.
The project “Our Student. Our Employee. WARBUD SA” satisfies our demand for new staff and at the same time helps young people by making it easier for them to start their careers. The project also helps the building trades to regain their due prestige.

The Building Education Programme has been introduced in the Vocational Schools with the building profile in the cities of Radom and Elbląg. In the year 2006 first classes were created in each school with the carpenter-formwork installer profile and in the next year a class with the steel fixer – concrete worker profile was created in Elbląg.

The Academy of Teddy-Bear the Rescuer

The campaign, whose aim is to decrease the number of road accidents affecting children, lasted from November 2008 to April 2009. The project attracted 6 thousand pupils from 38 primary schools throughout the whole Mazowieckie region. The hero of the campaign is the character of Teddy-Bear the Rescuer who contacts children and sends them pleasant letters containing good advice and small gifts. There are nine letters. The letters cover the issues of road safety, risks connected with crime, fire prevention and also health protection and basic first aid principles. Practical activities which connect play and education are run by representatives of rescue services: the police, emergency services and fire brigades.
During the activities medical tests are also carried out: eye tests, hearing tests and lateralization test. The activities with Teddy Bear the Rescuer allow children to understand the dangers and develop correct forms of behaviour. The participants of the campaign are equipped with a rich set of educational materials thanks to sponsors, one of whom is our foundation.
